The first number of “ANNALS OF CONSTANTA MARITIME UNIVERSITY” was published in the year 2000. Here were to be published -as recommended by the Editorial Board – mainly the legitimate research results of teaching staff members. Since its first issue, this review contained articles related both to the maritime domain - the basic domain in our university – and to specific technical domains: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics.
During years the published articles were signed by teachers of our university, teachers from partner universities in the country and abroad, but also here were published the students’ best papers presented in the Students Scientific Communication Session, an annual event organized by our university. Since 2009, as the students’ activity became a session with international participation, their papers are published separately in the Scientific Bulletin of CMU Students.
Over the years, the scientific level of this review was improved by the contribution of leading figures in the technical universities from the country, and in worldwide-known Maritime universities. The review has quickly established itself while obtaining a high international prestige, which allowed exchanges of publications with other schools in the world, or academies, publishing houses, libraries, and other institutions concerned.
Continuing the established tradition, “The ANNALS OF CONSTANTA MARITIME UNIVERSITY” has always improved its content and its scientific level, contributing in this way to the reputation of the academic institution it belongs to.
“ANNALS OF CONSTANTA MARITIME UNIVERSITY” review is the identification card of our university and is intended to circulate between academic institutions in the country and abroad, so as to share the scientific research results of Constanta Maritime University’s teaching staff, and those of the partner institutions. The review is published once a year. Two reviewers look over each article. To be published, an article must have two positive reviews. The editorial board of each series includes teachers from CMU, other technical universities in the country, and teachers belonging to universities abroad.
