Our Goals
The changes that have occurred in the Romanian society and European community require new abilities to adapt to the demands of the labour force market. It is therefore necessary to combine academic knowledge with the formation of professional competences that should be clearly stated and identified. Under the new circumstances, the maritime university of Constanta has established the following goals:
- to train specialists for the maritime transport as well as carry out research work in the connected fields, with special emphasis on considering competition as progress factor and on the quality management as a way to continuously improve the system of education and research.
- to promote education and research in accordance with the standards of a society based on a process that goes through initial formation, continuous education and integration in the world circuit of values;
- to contribute to local, regional and national development by the involvement of the members of the academic community in social, economic and cultural events.
The above can be implemented in the following ways:
- strategic and efficient management of human and material resources;
- continuous development of the university, both horizontally and vertically;
