Department of Research and European Programmes (DREP)
The scientific research is a priority for Constantza Maritime University. Teachers, researchers, doctoral students, Master degree students, Bachelor degree students, and the other employees of our university may participate in. The scientific research, technological development, design, consultancy, expertise, and other scientific activities, which are performed within CMU are carried out in Chairs, departments, and research centres.
When the portfolio of programmes, projects or topics, already established or being set up, requires a specific organization, the scientific research can be done in distinct units or research-development structures, which have been created on Chairs, faculties or CMU levels, with the University Senate approval.
The scientific research can be also made during collaboration with other educational and research institutions in the country and abroad, including the network and research consortia through which CMU can achieve excellence in research.
The scientific research is organized and developed through projects and topics, which are funded or unfunded, and they are included in research programmes of Chairs, faculties, departments, research centres, etc. These programmes include the topics of doctoral research programs, too.
The scientific research of teaching and research staff can be made independently too, to the extent that the Chair has assimilated in its programme the independent scientific interest.
The Department of Research and European Programmes (DREP) of Constantza Maritime University offers logistics and advice to foster the involvement in research programmes and collaboration of specialists in various fields.
DREP assures the cooperation between institutions and departments of universities in the country and abroad, and participates in scientific events, which are developed within CMU.
